Steven Jernee - Fitness/Javelin Coach
"WHAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TODAY WILL SOON BECOME YOUR WARM-UP"
I have always been fascinated with sport and fitness from as early as I can remember. I played all the usual youth sports like soccer, basketball, and baseball before I discovered my true calling in Track and Field in middle school. I was a standout 100 meter dash, discus, and shot put thrower. In high school, I started the art of javelin throwing and it has changed my world ever since.
To throw a javelin requires an incredible degree of athleticism as it involves a combination of strength, speed, and technique. By practicing this event, it has forced me to be a well rounded athlete in all regards and helped me gain immense knowledge in the form of kinetic movement and general fitness.
By becoming a coach, I hope to share this knowledge with athletes of all sports and skill levels and help them achieve a high level of success and satisfaction.
Although my specialization is in the javelin, I can help anybody reach their fitness goals from young to old. My family owns a fitness center, Somers Point Fitness, and I have been around a great deal of people with diverse fitness goals and can accomodate anyone.
